System Composition

The integrated cable internally incorporates load-bearing cables, power supply lines, and signal transmission lines, which are lowered into water simultaneously. This improves work efficiency while preventing various lines from tangling with each other;

Its outer skin is marked with scales, which can clearly indicate the lowering depth of the underwater detector; the length is 30-500 meters;

The 920 probe is used to observe the velocity and direction of groundwater flow, conduct all-round observation of water body conditions, and enable intuitive understanding of the underwater environmental conditions.

WT920 controller

The controller consists of a data processor, a signal acquisition card, data export and upload functionality, a display, a waterproof and dustproof keyboard, a printer, a screw handle, and other components.

The 920 manual operator (handheld device) is wirelessly connected to the 920 controller, enabling remote operation and display, which is very convenient to use.

WT920 Groundwater Velocity and Direction Meter System Overview


The WT920 Groundwater Velocity and Direction Meter utilizes microscope physical magnification and CCD camera photography technology for luminous objects in water, with a built-in geomagnetic electronic compass and software visual trajectory algorithm. It can real-time measure groundwater velocity, direction, water temperature, and water level, and can extend to measure conventional water quality parameters and conduct qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis of characteristic pollutants. It can real-time observe the downhole environment; the 270-degree wide-angle camera can view the lower part, and the well wall camera can view the surrounding 360 degrees. The instrument can be remotely and synchronously controlled via a mobile phone or tablet.

Traditional groundwater velocity and direction meters only measure planar vectors, and they cannot provide accurate measurements when the groundwater is too clear or too turbid, being only able to obtain limited water body data. In contrast, the WT920 Groundwater Velocity and Direction Meter can obtain three-dimensional vector data of any groundwater body. Both portable and online versions can achieve remote wireless transmission and synchronization with mobile phones. The instrument includes a modular integrated probe, cables, ground controller, tablet, and external power supply, etc. It can work at a depth of up to 500 meters and is applicable to fields such as groundwater hydrological monitoring, groundwater resource survey and evaluation, groundwater environmental monitoring in industrial parks, contaminated site remediation evaluation, groundwater environmental pollution runoff monitoring, and groundwater model establishment.
