Technical Description

The WTC-RD04S is a radar module specifically designed for hydrological monitoring. This module operates in Frequency-Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) mode and features a non-contact installation design. It is compact in size with a well-structured and space-efficient build. Offering high precision, low power consumption, and strong anti-interference capabilities, it is well-suited for water level monitoring in lakes, rivers, flood early warning systems for mountain torrents, reservoirs, sewage pipe networks, and other similar applications.

The radar operates in the 80 GHz frequency band, with a maximum measurable range of 40 meters for distance measurement. The maximum detectable distance may vary depending on the Radar Cross-Section (RCS) of the object. The radar comes with a factory default configuration that is compatible with both ASCII and MODBUS protocols, and users can switch between the protocol modes by using the corresponding instructions.
