Irrigation District Water Measurement and Gate Monitoring Terminals integrates functions such as channel flow monitoring, remote gate control, equipment working condition monitoring, and image/video monitoring. It visually monitors water consumption, controls channel flow, helps improve the water resource management capacity and management level of the irrigation district, and builds a water-saving and efficient modern irrigation district.

System Functions


● Gate Control: Offers three control modes: remote operation via PC or mobile app, local touch screen/buton control, and logic-based control. A single terminal can manage multiple gates simultaneously. 


● Water Level and Flow Monitoring: Collects real-time data on water levels and flow rates throughout the irrigation system's entire process, including water diversion, transportation, distribution, and boundary points. 


● Gate Status Monitoring: Tracks gate status (open/closed), position, operating current, and voltage. 


● Remote Configuration: Enables remote adjustment of management parameters, reporting intervals, automatic time synchronization, and firmware upgrades through mobile apps. 


● Data Transmission: Supports wireless (4G/5G/NB-IoT) and wired (fiber optic) transmission. 


● Abnormal Alerting: Automatically alerts monitoring center for flow data anomalies, gate current/voltage irregularities, or unauthorized access. 


● Visual Monitoring: Provides real-time channel water conditions and gate status updates. 


● Standard Protocols: Compatible with hydrological, water resources, and MQTT communication protocols for seamless integration with existing water management platforms. 


● Extended Features: Includes soil moisture, rainfall, wind speed, and wind direction monitoring.

Irrigation District Water Measurement and Monitoring System in Hubei

●  Application Background: A certain irrigation district in Hubei is a major local producer of grain, cotton, and oil. After years of operation, the canal system has aged with serious water blockage, resulting in significant water waste. In 2019, the irrigation district dredged, desilted, and lined the canals to solve water conveyance problems. In 2022, it launched the irrigation district renovation, upgrading, and water-saving transformation project. Pingsheng provided the irrigation district water measurement and monitoring system to remotely monitor canal flow and on-site operating conditions, providing data support for the rational allocation of agricultural water in the irrigation district, realizing optimal water resource allocation, and improving utilization efficiency.

● Project Overview: It is a medium-sized irrigation district covering 105,000 mu (1 mu ≈ 0.0667 hectares), drawing water from rivers. The project requires installing water measurement and video monitoring equipment at main canal pumping stations, water diversion pumping stations, water diversion gates, branch canals, and direct irrigation outlets to remotely grasp water allocation. Data is reported to the Hubei Smart Irrigation District Information Management Platform in accordance with the "Water Resources Monitoring Data Transmission Protocol" (SZY-206-2016).
