1. Project Overview:
Geological disaster prevention and control work is crucial for safeguarding people's lives and property. Effective prevention and control need to be implemented from the source of disaster occurrence. The "Administrative Measures for Geological Disaster Prevention and Control" stipulate that the competent department of land and resources shall strengthen geological disaster monitoring within its administrative region and establish a geological disaster monitoring and mass observation and prevention network.
Based on this, a geological disaster monitoring and early warning system has been constructed in a certain area in northwest China. The system utilizes Welletronics Remote Terminal Units (RTU) to conduct real-time monitoring and precise early warning of relevant data in geological disaster-prone areas. By obtaining first-hand data, it enables early detection of potential disasters and timely notification of the public, thereby enhancing emergency disaster mitigation capabilities.
2. Solution:
Mountainous Forest Measurement Points: Battery-powered Remote Terminal Units (WTC-DT8) are installed to collect data from inclinometers/crack meters and report it to the supervision platform.
Measurement Points Near Villages: Solar-powered Remote Terminal Units (WTC-72) are installed to collect temperature and humidity data, rainfall information, and on-site images, which are then reported to the supervision platform.
When data exceeds the preset limits, after analysis by the platform, instructions are sent to control loudspeakers to trigger alarms.
